Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed after-hours event that takes place at Magic Kingdom, running from August 9th to October 31st. It’s a Halloween-themed event where you can enjoy special entertainment, meet characters in costumes, and enjoy exclusive merchandise and treats.
How much do tickets cost to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party?
The tickets this year range from $119 to $199 for adults. Tickets sell out quickly, especially for dates closer to Halloween, so grab yours as soon as possible especially if there is a particular date you’re eying, you’ll want to buy that sooner rather than later.
What Time Does Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party start?
The party officially starts at 7 PM, but you can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM with your event ticket. This gives you a few extra hours to enjoy the park before the festivities begin.
There is a separate entrance for party-goers! In past years, it has been the turnstiles on the right side of the entrance. You'll be able to see signs directing you to where to go. Plus, you won't be able to miss the crowd! The line of partygoers waiting to get into the park will start forming an hour before 4 p.m. So, if you want to be at the front of the line you'll want to get to Magic Kingdom around 3 p.m.
Don't forget that if you're driving to the park, that it'll take at least 30-40 minutes to get to the Magic Kingdom from the TTC.
Can You Enter Magic Kingdom Before 4 p.m. with Dining Reservations?
I’ve been asked this question a few times this year, and unfortunately, the answer is no. If you have dining reservations at 3 p.m., you won’t be able to enter Magic Kingdom early with just your party ticket. The earliest you can enter the park with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets is 4 p.m. If you want to get in earlier, you’ll need regular park admission for that day.
What characters can I meet at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
There are several characters you can meet during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! Characters start seeing guests in their costumes at 7 p.m.
You will need a party wristband for the special meet and greets. If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom during the day and not attending the Halloween party, you won’t be able to participate in these meet and greets.
Don't forget to pick up a guide when you enter Magic Kingdom for the night! This will have bat symbols marking the meet and greet spots, but for specific times and locations, check the My Disney Experience app. Popular characters like the Seven Dwarfs and Jack & Sally are a big draw, so expect long wait times.

You can find the party merchandise in the Emporium at the front of the park. Several different collections are available, and the general Halloween merchandise can be purchased by the general public during the day.
However, if you want to buy the exclusive party merchandise, you must have your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) wristband. The exclusive items are located in a roped-off area, and access is restricted to guests wearing a wristband. So, you'll want to be sure to get your wristband before heading over to the Emporium to shop for these special items.
What food and drinks are available at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
It wouldn’t be a party without some specialty Halloween-themed food and drinks! There are items available all day, but some treats are exclusive to the party.
I highly recommend checking out the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide before your scheduled party night to see what treats are available and where so that you can plan accordingly. Keep in mind that there will be long lines for food, so you may not be able to pick up everything on your must-try list, so make sure to prioritize what you want to try first!

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Tomorrowland, across from Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.

What are the must-see events at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party features three big event highlights that every party-goer should experience.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spell-tacular Stage Show
This show takes place on the Castle Forecourt Stage in front of Cinderella’s Castle and is led by the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, featuring your favorite Disney villains. There are three show times each night in August and September, and four show times in October.
TIP: The very last show of the night will be the least crowded. So, if you want a great view, the last show will be your best chance!
Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade
This parade features Halloween-themed floats and rare characters, kicking off with the Headless Horseman. It has two show times each night, following the parade route from Frontierland to Main Street’s Town Square.
The most popular place to view the parade is around the hub area and down mainstreet.
TIP: If you're looking for a less crowded area, I recommend heading over to the beginning of the parade over in Frontierland, or the very end of the parade by Town Square.
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks
The skies above Cinderella’s Castle light up with stunning fireworks, Halloween projections, and a soundtrack featuring Jack Skellington. The show happens once a night, so be sure not to miss it! I'll make sure to update this blog with this year's times once it has been revealed.
TIP: The best place to watch the fireworks is from the hub area right in front of Cinderella's castle. You'll want to be closer enough so that you can see Jack Skellington as he makes his appearance during the show.
What Other Entertainment is Available during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party?
Rusty Cutlass Pirate Band in Adventureland: Enjoy swashbuckling songs and roaming performances in front of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Space Mountain: Transforms into “Deep Space” Mountain with a pitch-black ride and alternative soundtrack.

Tips and Tricks for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Plan Your Evening Around Showtimes
Since the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Boo-to-You Parade, and Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks are the highlights of the evening, plan your night around these showtimes. Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, especially for the parade and fireworks, as Main Street fills up quickly.
Skip the First Parade and Enjoy Shorter Lines
The first showing of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade tends to be more crowded. Use this time to enjoy shorter wait times for popular attractions and meet-and-greets. Then, catch the second parade later in the evening when the crowds are usually thinner.
Take Advantage of the Free Treats
Don’t forget that trick-or-treating is unlimited! Feel free to revisit the candy stations throughout the night. If you have dietary restrictions, remember to visit the allergy-friendly spots to pick up your special treats.
Bring a Portable Phone Charger
You’ll likely be taking lots of photos, videos, and using the My Disney Experience app throughout the night, which can drain your phone’s battery. Bring a portable charger to ensure your phone lasts through the evening.
Wear Comfortable Shoes
Even though it’s a party, there’s still a lot of walking involved. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes to keep your feet happy while you explore the park.
Arrive in Costume, But Bring a Change of Clothes
Florida’s weather can be unpredictable. If your costume is elaborate or warm, consider bringing a change of clothes. This way, you can change into something more comfortable as the night progresses or if the weather changes.
Utilize Mobile Ordering for Food
To save time, use the mobile ordering feature in the My Disney Experience app for food and drinks. This will allow you to skip the lines and enjoy more of the party’s activities.
Consider Booking a Dining Reservation Before the Party
If you’re planning to eat a full meal before the party, consider booking an early dinner reservation at one of the Magic Kingdom’s table-service restaurants. This way, you can fuel up before the party starts and maximize your time enjoying the event.
Capture the Magic with PhotoPass
Make the most of the special PhotoPass opportunities during the party. The Magic Shots and special effects photos are a unique way to capture the Halloween spirit, and purchasing Memory Maker in advance can help you save on all your photos.
Stay Until the End for a Less Crowded Exit
Many guests leave immediately after the fireworks, which can create a bottleneck at the exits. If you stay until the very end of the party, you’ll experience a quieter, less crowded exit and get a last look at the Halloween decorations.
Bring a Small Backpack or Tote
You’ll want a place to store your treats, merchandise, and any layers you may remove during the evening. A small backpack or tote is perfect for carrying your essentials without weighing you down.
Check the Weather Forecast
Since rain is always a possibility in Florida, check the weather forecast before heading to the party. Bring a small poncho or umbrella just in case, and keep in mind that some shows may be canceled if it rains.
Is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Worth It?
I think that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is truly a magical experience that brings the Halloween spirit to life in the most enchanting way. With so much to see and do, from exclusive character meet-and-greets and spooktacular entertainment to delicious treats and unique merchandise, it’s a night filled with unforgettable memories. Whether you’re a Disney fan, a Halloween enthusiast, or just looking for a fun and festive night out, this event offers something for everyone.
Just remember to plan your night carefully, prioritize the shows and characters you want to see, and take advantage of the extra tips to make the most of your experience. With a little preparation, you’ll be able to enjoy everything this incredible party has to offer.
So, get your costume ready, grab your trick-or-treat bag, and get ready to experience the magic of Halloween at the happiest place on earth. Until next time, have a frightfully fun evening, and don’t forget to enjoy some Florida sunshine!
