What did We Order at Tiffins?
Drinks:
Rafiki’s Squash Banana Milkshake (Limited-Time): Celebrating The Lion King’s 30th anniversary, this milkshake combines squash bananas, baobab fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom—a true standout!
Hibiscus Henna (Non-Alcoholic): A refreshing blend of watermelon, hibiscus, soda water, and lime juice with a unique spiced finish.
Appetizer:
Charred Octopus: Served with sweet corn salsa, chorizo, tequila mole rojo, pickled onions, and cilantro. Tender and flavorful, this is a must-try for adventurous eaters.
Entrees:
Tamarind-Braised Short Rib: Paired with brown butter carrot puree, cipollini onion, medjool date-bacon jam, and roasted heirloom carrots. This dish was melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly balanced with sweet and savory elements.
Butter Chicken: Accompanied by a chickpea-rice croquette, English peas, young squash, and pickled onions. The croquette stole the show with its unique texture and taste.
Desserts:
"Remember Who You Are" Lion King Dessert (Limited-Time): Kenyan coffee mousse filled with caramelized bananas, chai chantilly, banana-caramel sauce, and more. While visually stunning, it didn’t stand out flavor-wise.
White Chocolate-Orange Crème Brûlée: Served with blueberry cardamom curd, Amarula ice cream, orange chutney, Sellou cookie, and Ras el Hanout candy crunch. This dessert was heavenly and our favorite of the meal.
